Cedar & Sage selects an organization that yoga students may provide donations to at any time. On Sundays, 10% of sales from group classes are donated to this organization. For select personal training classes, 10% of profits will be donated to this organization. Additional donations may also be provided at any time either directly to the organization online or in person at your next yoga class in the form of cash or check. Organizations are carefully researched and are in line with Cedar & Sage's Principles to create a positive impact for the community and beyond. 

ELECTED ORGANIZATION FOR DONATIONS

This elected charity donation will go to the Electa Quinney Institute through the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. As stated from the organization, "the focus of the Institute is to strengthen and celebrate American Indian education at the local, regional and national level with strong connections to indigenous teaching practices around the globe." Donating to Electa Quinney Institute will: 

• Increase American Indian student success by fostering high-quality educational instruction, opportunities, and groundbreaking research;
• Enhance the knowledge and diversity of K-12 educators, preparing more American Indians to teach and non-Indian teachers to be more aware of American Indian identity and issues;
• Advance understanding of American Indians in the urban setting;
• Inform and guide local, state, and federal policy as it relates to urban American Indians; and
• Address community needs through effective partnerships between public and private organizations (2024 Electa Quinney Institute).

Donation items are collected at Cedar & Sage in-person following your sessions. Donations will be dropped off weekly by us to the Crystal Lake Food Pantry. See guidelines on the Crystal Lake Food Pantry website for items most needed.
